In Jesus There is A Guarantee of Life – Dalam Yesus Ada Jaminan Hidup

Accordingly Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant (Hebrews 7:22). What are the things that would give you assurance in this life? Is it family, savings, career or our own capability? In the world that is full of uncertainty, the Bible teaches us where, or to be precise, who could give such guarantee, both in this life, even our everlasting life. Today’s Miracle Hour talks on how Jesus is our life guarantee, delivered by Lukas Oey who is presently working in the hospitality industry.

The Shepherd knows His sheep

Brother Lukas started the message with the parable of a lost sheep (Luke 15: 4-5). There is a shepherd who has a hundred sheep. Then one day he loses one of them.  He went to search for that one, and left the rest ninety-nine until the lost one was found. When the shepherd found it, he put it on his shoulder with great joy.

A good shepherd cares for his sheep, knows very precise each condition of his sheep. He knows and values each personally. That is simply the reason when one was lost, he knows and search for it. In resemblance, that is how we are in the eyes of Jesus.

Oftentimes we are convinced that we are walking on the right path, yet that is not so much of the fact. For instance, as an employee, we work every day in order to be succeeded and achieving desired positions.  We presume such accomplishment is due to the result of our own efforts. If truth be told, if we have such understanding, we are considered to be lost. Because we lead ourselves and disregard the true shepherd that knows the reality of us beyond worldly matters.

We are like sheep that has gone astray whilst God is in the mission of taking us back where we belong and that is with Him. Jesus is at the door of our hearts, with such gentle and sweet voice reaching out to us. However, we repeatedly drown in our personal goals that we neglect the truth how much we need God. Indeed, He wants to make our lives meaningful and far from astray, because only in Jesus there is a guarantee of life. Know that the love of God that is beyond measure is the place for us.
