CARILAH TUHAN – Seek the Lord
Time is precious because eternity reckons on how we spend it. Today we are having a MIRACLE HOUR, a concise biblical message that could benefits our walk on faith in the Marketplace. Our message today is on Seeking the Lord, brought by our sister Friska Carolina who is presently working at an IT Industry company.
“Often times what supposedly additional, we put them first”
The message commenced with the reading of Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you”. This very familiar verse does not imply that sustenance is wrong. However if pursuing such comes first than seeking God, that encompasses the fact that our heart is of this world.
What are we looking for in this life? What would be the first and the foremost thing that came to our mind when we wake up in the morning? Is it wealth, prosperity or society approval? Make no mistake these are all just temporary and shall come to past. We need to be aware that the Kingdom of God is speaking about peace, joy and hope. Come to think of it, these are in fact the underlying reason we seek all things.
We often times expect some stuffs could provide some sort of comfort, happiness and peace of mind. However we perpetually not finding them because we do it in the wrong order whereas what supposedly additional, we put them first. But if we put Him first, He assured us that all things, no exception, will be added to us.
“Salvation is all that we need”
God wants us to put Him first because He is our Savior. Above and beyond all needs, as sinners, salvation to receive eternal life is what we unquestionably need. Maybe we do not realize how way further we are from God’s ways. This is the opportunity we should not miss as it could have been our last. Jesus is the only one who can, was willing and truly had died for us to pay the wages of our sins by shedding His own blood. Make no mistake that He holds our tomorrow and have great plans for us.
“Surrender your life for God’s will”
We belong to God and His purposes. Our life should be a display of God’s work in the midst of this lost world that is perishing. We ought not to leave our profession in order to be utilized by Him. As a matter of fact, we are emplaced in certain profession by God in order to bring others to Him.
Our sister Friska Carolina was closing today’s message with a prayer for those who want to repent and give their life to Jesus, that were called by His own name for the great commission. We truly give thanks to Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
