JESUS THE SOURCE OF PEACE – Yesus sumber damai sejahtera
“His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). Today’s Miracle Day is talking about the one thing that everyone is looking for, that is simply a peace of mind. The service brought by servants of God in Marketplace from such a diverse industries and professions, they are: Vera Indiriani (Design Interior Company), Dedi Suhandi (Teacher), Yusup Edi Prasetio (Entrepreneur in Agriculture), Novy Marlina (Chemical Industry) and Fransiska Siregar (Food & Beverage Industry).
“I do not give you the peace as the world gives”
Vera Indriani started the service by quoting John 14:27, 16: 33 that says: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.” In the world that is cluttered with tribulation, peace often becomes a rare thing to find. This is not due to its absence, but merely cause we long and search from a false source, which of this world.
“It is impossible for sinners to have peace”
We often mistaken the lack of peace and fulfillment in our life is mainly regarding our circumstances. Nevertheless, it is sin that has been the underlying issue of all the problems in humanity. The presence of sin divorces us from Jesus who is the prince of peace. In other hand, God promised that our peace would flow to us like a river, deliverance would have come to us like the waves of the sea (Isaiah 48:17-18).
Through Jesus, we receive the one thing that we need the most, and that is the forgiveness of sins which would bring genuine peace and joy. The congregations were invited to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and following to that, a prayer for those people who wanted to present their life for God lead by Dedi Suhandi.
“O woman, great is your faith; be it done for you as you wish”
Yusup Edi Prasetio continued the message from Matthew 15:21-28. The story is about the great faith of a Cannan woman. She had to face the circumstances that Jesus does not seem to be willing to heal her daughter who was grievously vexed with a devil. Her persistence in faith never led in vain. God never reject the faithful ones, in fact appraise them. This is a display how great faith can overcome great challenges.
Novy Marlina proceeded the service by praying for the healing power of Jesus to be poured down for the congregation as promised in 1 Peter 2:24. As this live stream was occurring, we received some prayer requests to our call center and many came to Jesus Christ and receive healing.
As Jesus followers, especially positioned by God in the Marketplace, we have a duty to intercede for our nation of Indonesia, primarily during the transition to a new normal in regards with Covid-19 pandemic. The prayers were lead by Dedi Suhandi and Novy Marlina.
Concluding the service, the congregation was reminded to comply with government regulation in effort to put an end for this Corona pandemic, and as well closing in prayer, brought by Fransiska Siregar. We give glory to Lord Jesus Christ who had touched so many lives today. Amen.
