Faith in the Midst of the Storm-Iman di Tengah Gelombang
Life is like sailing. There are times when we experience storms , but let us surrender our lives to God and put our trust in Him for He is in control of our lives. Psalm 37: 5 (NKJV) “Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.”
Today’s Miracle Day was presented by God’s servants in the Marketplace from various industries and professions. They are Dorthy Rosalita (Production House), Fenny Hutabarat (Entrepreneur), Yan Fernando Sitorus (Supplier Contractor), Julius Leonard (Entrepreneur), and Siska Nelma (Property Management).
The Storms of Life
Dorthy Rosalita opened the service with prayer. She delivered the Word of God, taken from Mark 4: 35-41 about Jesus calming the storm. She conveyed that when the storm happend, Jesus only spoke two words, “Peace, be still!” When Jesus spoke these words, the wind ceased and there was a great calm. Jesus indeed has power over this universe.
God is Bigger than Our Storms
Jesus is a loving God and He was willing to die for us and He is able to help us. Therefore, let us ake this moment and come to Him. You don’t need to question God for the things that happen in your lives. When we face difficulties in situations like these, where there are a lot of companies that went bankrupt. Maybe we are affected by these situations. However, this is the best momet for us to come to the Lord and surrender our struggles to Him for He is able to help us. All we need to do is to have faith in Him.
Fenny Hutabarat continued the service by leading the congregation with the prayer of salvation. She led the congregation to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior(John 3:16). An invitation was also offered for those who wanted to offer up their lives to God and respond to His calling as the servants of God.
Act in Faith
Yan Fernando continued preaching the Word of God from John 5:1-9 about Healing on the Sabbath at the pool of Bethesda. He went on by saying that this man had been sick for 38 years. Maybe we have been suffering from our sicknesses for years. We carry heavy burden and we question whether God cares about us. It seems that God did not see our struggles. However, we must remember that Jesus loves us.
If we look at the Word of God in John 5:6, we can see that Jesus indeed knew the the condition of this man. He also knows about our conditions. God is willing to help and heal us.
As we read verses 8-9 “Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.” We learn that our faith needs an action. When you pray, have faith that miracles will happen. If you cannot walk today, have faith that you will be able to walk. Have faith and put your faith in action. Nothing is impossible for God and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Julius Leonard continued preaching the Word of God from Isaiah 53:5. He encouraged the congregation that Jesus is able to heal every sickness and by His stripes we are healed. During this live broadcast, we received several prayer requests to our Contact Center and many came to the Lord Jesus and experienced healing.
The service continued with the prayer of intercession led by Fenny Hutabarat and Julius Leonard. The service was closed by encouraging all the congregation to be a blessing in their offices and comply with government regulations in an effort to break the chain of this pandemic. All Praise and Glory be to Jesus Christ who has touched and blessed many lives today. Amen.
