“YESUS JALAN KEBENARAN DAN HIDUP” – Jesus is the way, the truth and the life
Praise the Lord Jesus Christ, for today on Wednesday July 15, 2020 we had another Miracle Day Event. This sermon and healing service for the Marketplace had been conducted virtually through live stream during Covid-19 quarantine. Nevertheless, God never cease touching and healing His people even way more than before. The service was delivered by God’s servants in Marketplace from such a diverse industries and professions. They are Suzanna Tan (HR Business Partner), Desi Nataria Gultom (Import and Distributor Company), Jul Allens (Economic Analyst), Herry Santoso (Entrepreneur) and Tiurlan Silaban (Journalist).
“All men have sinned and come short of the glory of God”
Today service was opened with a prayer and God’s message brought by Suzanna Tan, sharing what was written in John 14:6. We are God’s own precious and subject of His love. Jesus ascended to heaven for the preparation of our future. Nonetheless, all men have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Therefore the future of all men is eternal separation from God As for the wages of sin is death.
We often found ourselves lost and further away from truth due to entrusting our own understanding. The book of Proverbs warned us beforehand that we could misjudge the path to death as a way that seemingly right. The story of the prodigal son exemplifies us that we are not fit to decide what is best for ourselves, moreover compare to what our almighty God capable of. What that son perceived as a gain turned out to be a huge loss.
Proceeding to God’s word, the congregation were invited to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, with a prayer lead by Desi N. Gultom. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Even more so, God is also calling His people to have meaningful life, utilized for His great commission.
“Jesus , Son of David, have mercy on me!”
The service continued with the message taken from Mark 10:46-52, about the faith of a blind beggar, Bartimeus the son of Timaeus. When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he shouted “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”. Jesus said to him, go, your faith has healed you. Immediately he regained his sight and followed Jesus. As the cry of Bartimeus caught Jesus’ attention, in resemblance to that, our prayer does the same. Do not be dismayed for He hears us and always answer cries of faith.
The message proceeds with praying for the healing power of God by Herry Santoso, bringing to mind for the congregation to have faith in Jesus, for nothing is impossible for Him and by His stripes we are healed. As this live stream was occurring, we received prayer requests to our call center and more people came to Jesus Christ and received healing.
As Jesus followers, especially positioned by God in the Marketplace, we have a duty to intercede for our nation of Indonesia. We pray for God’s forgiveness, His blessing over our nation, government, economic state and welfare. Particularly during the recovery of Covid-19 pandemic. The prayers were lead by Desi N. Gultom and Herry Santoso.
Concluding the service, the congregation was encouraged to be a blessing witness to each of their local Christian office fellowship and not to hesitate reaching to our call center for prayer request and to notify healing testimonies as well. A gentle reminder was given as well, and that is to comply with government regulation in effort to put an end for this Covid-19 pandemic, and as well a closing prayer brought by Tiurlan Silaban. Glory to Jesus who had touched so many lives today. Amen.
