GOD IS CALLING US
By the grace of God, today on Monday June 15, 2020 we had another Miracle Day Message. We believe God had put us in this world for a great commission beyond our own understanding. Despite circumstances that we are facing now, whether is tragic or mundane, His plans for us never fail.
“Follow me”
Today’s wonderful message was brought by Ezra Judah (Journalist), sharing what was written in Matthew 9:9-13 on how Matthew, who was a tax collector, received the calling of Jesus to be His disciple.
At that time it was accustomed for tax collectors to gather more than they should as personal profit. Such practice of corruption positioned them to be the enemy of people. Then, one day Jesus came to Matthew while he was sitting at the receipt of custom in Capernaum and said unto him: “Follow me”, And Matthew arose and followed Jesus. Matthew had demonstrated the exemplary way of responding to Jesus’ call without question or a slight hesitation.
“Christ died while we were still sinners”
Many people assume they are not qualified to the calling of Jesus considering their past life had been gone astray from God’s way and there is no turning back. Through this Miracle Day service, God was calling people to be His disciples just like He had called Matthew. As Jesus said : “For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners”. As stated in Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Our brother Ezra Judah was closing today’s message with extending an invitation for the congregation to come to Jesus with the heart of repentance, to receive the forgiveness of sin through the blood of Jesus, accepting Him as Lord and Savior, to be set free and follow Him.
