Praise the Lord, Miracle Day event was held today. This event is a fellowship and healing sermon for the marketplace, that was done through live stream on Friday 29 May 2020. Despite with the quarantine due to Covid-19 outbreak, God always has a way and He is still at work to bring people to come to Him. This service was delivered by Rev Michael Judah, Sigit Syahranie, Rev Yohanes Philip Suwandi, Manuel Pakpahan and Rev Rudi Ang.
“Not to Worry”
The service was opened by Rev.Michael Judah. Bringing the message about what Jesus said about Christian should not be worried as stated in Matthew 6:25-34. Jesus assuring us in verse 25 : “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?”. This message encouraging audience to believe the love of Christ who died for our sins and He’s truly a Jehovah jireh, He is our provider.
Proceeding to that, the word about salvation was continued by Sigit Syahranie, bringing the congregation to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In John 3:16, it is said that For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. And of course Jesus not only have redeemed us from sin, but He also wants to heal.
“Then Jesus said to him, Get up! Pick up your mat and walk”
The following message about how Jesus also want to heal and give freedom to His people, was brought by Rev.Yohanes Philip Suwandi, quoting from Isaiah 53:5 that with His stripes we are healed. He also tell about the story written in John 5:2-9. This message show how a man which had an infirmity for 38 years. He was putting his trust to the an angel that went down at a certain season into the pool. Yet stood before him, the source of life and miracle, Jesus Christ Himself and that man was healed. The message proceeds with praying for the healing power of God by Manuel Pakpahan and we truly believe many delivered, as some testify directly to the link message.
We believe it is also our part, as believers to intercede for our nation of Indonesia, so that God forgive the transgressions toward Him in this country, and God bless our land, our government, the economic recovery imputable to Covid-19. We also pray that God heals all the infected, protect the frontline people working in health care and truly end this pandemic. The prayers were lead by Sigit Syahranie and Manuel Pakpahan.
This Miracle Day service was completed and closed by Rev Rudy Ang, announcing that the congregation can always be in touch for prayer request and recalled everyone to comply with government regulation in effort to put an end for this Covid-19 pandemic. We fervently thank the Lord and give all praises to His name, for nothing we can do apart from Him.
