KABAR SELAMAT – The Word of Salvation
Praise our God, Lord Jesus. Today at Friday July 17, 2020 we had another Miracle Day service. This is an online live stream version of sermon and healing service for Marketplace community. When we assume this COVID-19 pandemic would restrict marketplace ministry, contrary to that, we are reaching thousands in such brief amount of time. God truly has bigger plans. Many of them were healed from various diseases as well. Our God is undoubtedly the God of miracles.
The service was delivered by God’s servants in Marketplace from such a diverse industries and professions. Today service was brought by Ruth Siregar (HR Consultant), Henri Panjaitan (Transportation Industry), Evan Sinaga (Ministry of Law and Human Rights), Arta Juliana (Project Development) and Leonardo Pakpahan (Insurance Industry).
“There is no other name than Jesus”
Today service was opened with a prayer and God’s message brought by Ruth Siregar, sharing Acts 4:12 where Peter boldly said that there is salvation in no one else but Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we can be saved. Mankind has always longed for security, preservation and assurance. Knowing we have no control over many circumstances, we tend to put our trust toward things that we hold accountable only as far as our own understanding.
The Bible clearly says that it is never things, but a person with a name. His name is Jesus and there is no other name than His. Jesus holds tomorrow and evermore whilst we even unmindful of five minutes ahead of time. The word of salvation never changes. When we trust in Jesus and surrender our life to Him, we shall have the ultimate assurance not merely in this lifetime on earth, but far greater than that until we meet the Lord.
Our brother Henri Panjaitan continued with a prayer of salvation, to believe in Him, so that we should not perish but have everlasting life through the forgiveness of sin as promised in John 3:16. An invitation was also given to those who want to be the living witness of God, be it in place of work, family or society at large. We can be utilized by the Lord to bring others to come to Him and receive the salvation that we are now in.
“I am willing. Be clean! Immediately his leprosy was cleansed”
The service carried on by the message of God, about how Jesus touched a man with leprosy (Matthew 8:1-4), brought by Evan Sinaga. This man came to Jesus in worship. He knows Jesus can heal him. However, being an outcast from the society due to his leprosy that was a mark of a cursed person at that time, he asked Jesus if he would deserve such healing. Without further ado, Jesus stretched His hand while saying “I am willing and he was instantly healed.
The message proceeds with praying for the healing power of God by Arta Juliana, bringing to mind for the congregation that Jesus never changes and nothing is impossible for Him. 1 Peter 2:24 said that Jesus bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness, by His stripes we were healed. As this live stream was occurring, we received prayer requests through our call center and many came to Jesus Christ and received healing.
As Jesus followers we have a duty to intercede for the well being of our nation particularly for the vastness setbacks caused by COVID-19. We pray for our government to be used by God as His own extension of hand to handle challenges that had never been seen before in world history. We also pray for the healing of all the infected where the numbers are still concerning. The prayers were lead by Henri Panjaitan and Arta Juliana.
Concluding the service, the congregation was encouraged to be a blessing for their local Christian office fellowship and not to hesitate reaching to our call center for prayer request and to notify healing testimonies as well. A gentle reminder was given as well, and that is to comply with government regulation in effort to put an end for this pandemic, and as well a closing prayer brought by Leonardo Pakpahan. We bring all praise and glory to Jesus Christ who had saved and healed many lives today. Amen.
