Laboring in God – Kerja Buat Tuhan
‘Jesus said: Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” Jesus’ life while He was on earth was clearly to do the will of His Father. How about us? Miracle Day’s topic is talking about laboring in Christ. Just as we are mindful that we are positioned in the workplace with a specific role and duty, there is even more to that spiritually.
The service was delivered by God’s servants in Marketplace from such a diverse industries and professions. Today service was brought by Fairy Bulani Gultom (Electrical Power Manufacture), Priskila Cenny (Fishing Industry), Wimpy Tjahja (Internet Service Provider), Dinas Marita (Teacher) and Ayu Sumantry (Secretary).
“There is no limitation of success for now and forever if we live in Jesus”
Fairy Bulani Gultom started with a prayer and a scripture taken from Ephesians 2:10. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. God has a plan for us to do in this world that is not merely concerning limited to the things while we are on earth, but eternally. Anything that this world defines about wealth and success, has an expiry date.
In Christ we are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Our perspective on what is success would also be renewed. Our strive that maybe presently often mingles around what is temporary achievements in this world. This is the time to be truly living in the works that the Lord provide for us to do that also working on our eternal salvation.
Priskila Cenny continued to lead the congregation with a prayer of salvation, to be reborn in Christ. His love for us is indisputable for He had willing to die on the cross, taking our position in order for us to receive everlasting life (John 3:16). An invitation was also given to those who want to respond to the calling of God to be His witness.
“Jesus forgives and heals”
The service continued by Wimpy Tjahja, bringing the message of God in Luke 5:17-26, about how Jesus forgives and heals a paralyzed man that was brought by his friends. Due the large crowd, they have to break in from the roof and lowered the man right before Jesus. When Jesus saw their faith, He told the man that his sins are forgiven. And when Jesus told him to get up and walk, by faith, the paralyzed man did so miraculously.
Dinas Marita proceeded the service by praying for sick, bringing to mind for the congregation that Jesus is able to do whatever we believe Him to do (1 Peter 2:24). As this live stream was occurring, we received prayer requests through our call center and many came to Jesus Christ and received healing.
As believers of Christ we ought to pray without ceasing. The service continues with prayer of intercession lead by Priskila Cenny and Dinas Marita, for the well being of Indonesia, particularly in handling pandemic challenges that had never been seen before in world history.
Concluding the service, the congregation was encouraged to be a blessing for their local Christian office fellowship and to comply with government regulation in effort to put an end for this pandemic, and as well a closing prayer brought by Ayu Sumantry. We bring all praise and glory to Jesus Christ who had saved and healed many lives today. Amen.
