Jesus is Love – Yesus adalah kasih
Greater love hath no man than a man who lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13). How much are we willing to suffer on behalf of a person who has done evil things toward us? Today Miracle Day is talking about a person’s love to the extent of willing to give everything, including one’s own life.
The service was delivered by God’s servants in Marketplace from such a diverse industries and professions. Today service was brought by Rut Avianti (Hospitality Industry), Eva Siregar (Auction House), Osvald Karauwan (Contractor Company), Elipati Simorangkir (Retail Industry) and Sherley (Pipe Distributor).
Rut Avianti started with a prayer and a scripture taken from 1 John 4:9-10. It is written that it is not we who have loved God, but it is He that loved us and sent His only begotten Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
“God sent His Son to be the satisfying offering for our debt of sins”
Jesus is not only an evidence for the love of God for us, He is love. Hence if any human looking for love, the only answer is to come to Jesus. He is the one who laid down His own life in order for us to be saved although we deserve eternal punishment. Through the perfect, unchanging and unconditional love of Jesus only we can be made whole.
Any hollowness of the heart in human life is only due to not having Jesus love in his or her life. Therefore if we are in need of anything, or at the verge of desperation due to our circumstances be it physical, financial, social or mental, Jesus is always the answer, nothing and no one else is. His love is our source of strength in living our days, even in the midst of calamity like COVID-19 pandemic that is still occurring. Jesus love is able to sustain us despite the conditions.
Eva Siregar continued to lead the congregation with a prayer of salvation, to be reborn in Christ. His love for us is indisputable for He had willing to die on the cross, taking our position in order for us to receive everlasting life (John 3:16). An invitation was also given to those who want to be respond to the calling of God to be His witness.
“Jesus understand all of our sufferings”
The service carried on by the message of God, about how Jesus heals a man with leprosy (Matthew 8:1-4), brought by Osvald Karauwan. The story is about how Jesus healed a man from leprosy. Jesus is not only powerful to resolve our circumstances, but He also is willing to do it as long as we have faith. As we understood Jesus had died for our sins, we should easily believe that He is willing to heal us. Jesus understand our sufferings as He is also 100 % human. Therefore do not be dismay or more over lost of hope that might have put the thought of suicide as our last conclude. Jesus is here and He is here for us.
Elipati Simorangkir proceed the service by praying for sick, bringing to mind for the congregation the promise of God written in Isaiah 53:5. As this live stream was occurring, we received prayer requests through our call center and many came to Jesus Christ and received healing.
As believers of Christ we ought to pray without ceasing. The service continued with prayer of intercession lead by Eva Siregar and Elipati Simorangkir, for the well being of Indonesia, particularly in handling pandemic challenges that had never been seen before in world history.
Concluding the service, the congregation was encouraged to be a blessing for their local Christian office fellowship and to comply with government regulation in effort to put an end for this pandemic, and as well a closing prayer brought by Sherley. All glory to Jesus. Amen.
