HARAPAN DALAM YESUS – Our Hope in Jesus
Today is a miraculous day. Wednesday July 22, 2020, we held another Miracle Day event, a live stream sermon and healing service for the Marketplace. The theme for today is the love of Jesus for us. The service brought by servants of God in Marketplace from a diverse industries and professions, they are: Jiuli (Finance Officer), Hendro (System Administrator Officer), Ninda Hapsari (Teacher), Risby Ferdy Rompas (Finance Officer) and Herlinda (Marketing Officer).
“Do not rely on your own strength”
Our sister Jiuli started the service by bringing the message taken from Jeremiah 17:7-8. This scripture tell us how people who rely on God and put a total trust on Him, will be blessed. As a plant that is well nourished despite whatever seasons it is, that is exactly how the scripture describe such people. However, often times we tend to rely so much on our own understanding whilst we are unforeseen for anything to come. This is the leading cause a lot of people, including Christian people, still prone to frustration and hopelessness.
We are never wired to be independent from God. Jesus has a predestined plan for us that obviously much greater than what we can possible designed ourselves. Maybe at the verge of desperation we lost hope and lose sight of the wonderful love of Jesus. There’s a way in Jesus Christ. God’s plan is not merely limited to what is in this world, but above and beyond our hope and future in eternity. For such plan, Jesus had died for our sins.
The service proceeded by our brother Hendro, reminding the congregation that there is hope of salvation through Jesus Christ as written in John 3:16. God is not limited to deliver us from our transgression, He also wants to use our present life to be utilized for His Kingdom. We can be God’s representative within the Marketplace. The congregations were invited to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and following to that, a prayer for those people who wanted to present their life for God.
“Go your way; your faith has made you well.”
Sister Ninda Hapsari continued with the message about God’s healing miracle, taken from Mark 10: 46-52 about a blind beggar, Bartimeus. When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he shouted “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”. Jesus said to him, go, your faith has healed you. Immediately he regained his sight and followed Jesus. Our prayer resembles the cry of Bartimeus. Our cries always caught Jesus’ attention. Do not get discouraged for Jesus hears our cries regarding our circumstances also maybe our loved ones. Our faith will never led in vain, as God never refused faith.
Brother Risby Ferdy Rompas proceeding the service by praying for the healing power of Jesus to be poured down for the congregation as promised in I Peter 2:24, by His stripes we were healed. As this live stream was occurring, we received some prayer requests to our call center and many came to Jesus Christ and received healing.
As Jesus followers, especially positioned by God in the Marketplace, we have a duty to intercede for our nation of Indonesia, primarily during the transition to a new normal in regards with Covid-19 pandemic. The prayers were lead by Hendro and Risby Ferdy Rompas.
Concluding the service, the congregation was encouraged to be a blessing for their local Christian office fellowship and not to hesitate reaching to our call center for prayer request and to notify healing testimonies as well. A gentle reminder was given as well, and that is to comply with government regulation in effort to put an end for this Corona pandemic, and also a closing prayer, brought by sister Herlinda. All glory to Lord Jesus Christ who had touched so many lives today. Amen.
