“Do Not Worry”
Praise the Lord Jesus Christ, for today on Wednesday June 17, 2020 we had another Miracle Day Event. This sermon and healing service for the Marketplace had been conducted virtually through live stream during Covid-19 quarantine. Nevertheless, God never cease touching and healing His people even way more than before. The service was delivered by God’s servants in Marketplace from such a diverse industries and professions, and they are Victor Tuluran (Finance), Ida Arthawaty (Graphic Design), Rosma Yeni (Banking), Yohana Ambarita (Finance) and Jerry Larumpaa (Transportation Industry).
“Seek First His Kingdom and His Righteousness”
Today service was opened with a prayer and God’s message brought by Victor Tuluran, sharing what was written in Matthew 6:25-34. In this passage Jesus was giving sermon on what to pursue in this life. He knows how our heart often seek the cares of this life and neglect what was essential, and that is to seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness.
Jesus brought them to observe the fowls of the air and the lilies of the field. Despite they are considered to be insignificant, yet our heavenly Father well taken care of them, furthermore He would have cared for us, as we are worthy in His sight (Isaiah 43:4).
Proceeding to God’s word, the congregation were invited to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, with a prayer lead by Ida Arthawaty. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Even more so, God is also calling His people to have meaningful life, utilized for His great commission.
“Lord, yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table”
The service continued with the message taken from Matthew 15:21-28, about The faith of the Canaanite woman, brought by Yohana Ambarita. This woman was crying out to Jesus for her daughter that was vexed with a devil or a lot of people nowadays call it demon possessed. Her effort appeared to be in vain as Jesus did not say a word, furthermore His disciples suggested Him to send her away. But her steadfast faith restrained her to be offended when Jesus uses the analogy of a dog for the gentile by saying: “Lord, yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table”. Immediately Jesus gave recognition for her great faith and healed her daughter right at that hour at her request.
The message proceeds with praying for the healing power of God by Rosmayeni Sinaga, bringing to mind for the congregation to have faith in Jesus, as assured in 1 Peter 2:24 how Jesus bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness, by His stripes we were healed. As this live stream was occurring, we received so many prayer requests to our call center and many came to Jesus Christ and received healing.
As Jesus followers, especially positioned by God in the Marketplace, we have a duty to intercede for our nation of Indonesia. We pray for God’s forgiveness, His blessing over our nation, government, economic state and welfare. Particularly during the recovery of Covid-19 pandemic, we pray for the healing of all the infected and the protection for the frontline people working in health care, and more so the ending of this pandemic. The prayers were lead by Ida Arthawaty and Rosmayeni Sinaga.
Concluding the service, the congregation was encouraged to be a blessing witness to each of their local Christian office fellowship and not to hesitate reaching to our call center for prayer request and to notify healing testimonies as well. A gentle reminder was given as well, and that is to comply with government regulation in effort to put an end for this Covid-19 pandemic, and as well a closing prayer brought by Jerry Larumpaa. Glory to Jesus who had touched so many lives today. Amen.
