“God’s Love is Changing Me”

Praise our God, Lord Jesus. Today at Friday June 12, 2020 we had another Miracle Day.  This live stream sermon and healing service for the Marketplace was initiated due to Covid-19 pandemic. In fact during this calamity, God is touching and healing people way more than before. The service was delivered by God’s servants in Marketplace from such a diverse industries and professions. Today service was brought by Rollan Banggas (Educator), Adelady Thomas (Hotel Management), Ani Situngkir (Purchasing Distributor), Merita Lesiangi (Hotel Management) and Yan Fernando Sitorus (Distributor).

“Jesus’ love is changing me”

Today service was opened with a prayer and God’s message and brought by Rollan Banggas, sharing what was written in Luke 5:1-11 on Jesus called His disciples to be the fisher of men. The story tells about how the disciples were fishing all night long nevertheless catch none. Then Jesus came urging them to launch out into the deep and let down their nets for a draught, which seemed to be no use.  But when they did it anyway, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes; and their net brake. And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed Him.

This message of God conveys us not to take things in our own hand and to put our absolute trust in God’s ways. He knows better than us and has the power to change our situation. Often times due to unbelief or the feeling of undeserving of His favor, we stay in hopelessness. We need to believe that His love could and would change us, especially changing us from our sinful state into receiving the forgiveness of sin and eternal life.

The word of God continues on with an invitation to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, as well for them, who wanted to be the witness of God, brought by Adelady Thomas. As stated in John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

“Lord, if Though wilt, Though canst make me clean”

The service carried on by the message of God, about how Jesus healed a person suffering from leprosy (Matthew 8:1-3) brought by Ani Situngkir. This particular disease was not just contagious but it was considered a sign of a cursed person. This person came to Jesus in such humility and worship, and Jesus put forth His hand and immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Truly our God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

The message proceeds with praying for the healing power of God by Merita Lesiangi, bringing to mind for the congregation to have faith in Jesus, as assured in 1 Peter 2:24 how Jesus bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness, by His stripes we were healed. As this live stream was occurring, we received so many prayer requests to our call center and many came to Jesus Christ and received healing.

As Jesus followers, especially positioned by God in the Marketplace, we have a duty to intercede for our nation of Indonesia. We pray for God’s forgiveness, His blessing over our nation, government, economic state and welfare. Particularly during the recovery of Covid-19 pandemic, we pray for the healing of all the infected and the protection for the frontline people working in health care, and more so the ending of this pandemic.  The prayers were lead by Adelady Thomas and Merita Lesiangi.

Concluding the service, the congregation was encouraged to be a blessing witness to each of their local Christian office fellowship and not to hesitate reaching to our call center for prayer request and to notify healing testimonies as well. A gentle reminder was given as well, and that is to comply with government regulation in effort to put an end for this Covid-19 pandemic, and as well a closing prayer brought by Fernando Sitorus. We bring all praise and glory to Jesus Christ who had saved and healed many lives today. Amen.
